TRANSFORMATION
BINODINI GANTAYET
In the emerging moon’s
burst of laughter
I have a glimpse
of those memorable evenings;
I know my years’ll drift
along the stream of Time
though countless desires
must remain unfulfilled.
The darkness of the night
shall dry up the tears
and the smiling lips
will boost my self-esteem.
My feet are fatigued
by an endless travel
but my unwavering vision
can behold the light of hope
across the horizon.
Faith has given birth
to promises, and
the sense of disappointment
has vanished because dreams
he scattered like seeds
of possibilities.
A feeling of compassion
permeates my whole being
and the folds of my garment
get transformed
into chapters of history
hiding within them
memories and oblivions.
