THE MUSE

All Scriptures have me in them,
I am Nature’s perfume
And the artists’ pen and colours,
I am the lovers’ pride, passion and pathos,
I am the bards’ inspiration and compassion.
When the clinical minds go arid,
I irrigate the hearts to blossom.
I am mystery’s viewless wings
And mankind’s saga’s strings.
I am God’s tear and nectar
And the mortal’s value-mortar.
If I have to perish,
Oceans have to perish,
Missions have to die,
Constellations have to die.
I am the Muse the seductive Mammon shuns,
But in whom timeless Humanity triumphs.
