TEACHERS,
LET US TAKE TIME
R.
Mary Sadhu
Talking time, me, revolution or perversion?
Life is busy and I cannot stand the strain
Is life muddled up? Is Life an escape from struggle?
Let us reason: Let us answer:
Talk time beloved teacher, yours is a high calling,
The students look upon you for something
Do you frown and disappoint them? Speak off softly with them
My beloved teacher let your presence comfort and captivate them
Is love a forgotten virtue? Or does it make you vivacious?
Has the teacher forgotten to love, care and share?
Then, how to be worthy of the noble profession?
Student before self! Ah – it is terrible or possible.
We are that we are, because we are teachers
We are the trainers of minds, builders of the nation
Let not the bright and blooming young faces lose lustre
Stretch your hand, lift up the fallen and cheer up the faint,
Remember the students are our treasure
Loco parent extend love, care and attention
Smile with tender smile, mete the strings of precious hearts,
For, chords that are broken will vibrate once more!
