A Real Friend
Dr. E. Pullaiah
A real friend is he
Who is wedded to virtuous qualities;
Who hopes for the best
And never sinks in despair;
Who has pleasant disposition
And never gives room for melancholy;
Who is ever worried for friend’s
welfare
And never lends his mind to self;
Who ever endeavours his best
To be away from the clutches of
pride;
Who cannot imagine life without
friends
Thinking they are the flowers in the
garden of life;
Who becomes an anchor
When his friend is like a rudderless
boat
In the seas of misery and adversity;
Who thinks friendship
The rainbow between two hearts
And the best of all relationships.
