IT’S TIME TO RISE
Dr. H. Tulsi
How is it you still in slumber lie
While twilight, dawn and morn have all risen?
It’s time for you to ‘sleep’ to bid good - bye
And to waiting duty’s call to listen
Although Mahatma - like you may not be
Nor yet a literateur like Tagore,
Your stardom though your stars may not decree,
To heavenly heights although you may not soar,
The meanest work done well may be the greatest.
Not ‘what’ but ‘how’, ‘how much’, ‘how soon’ is done
A piece of work, is what put to test
On wheels big and small the world is run
So wake and put your little wheel in motion,
For man to conquer land and ocean.
